San Antonio

After three nights in Austin we continued our trip south, next stop Kerrville, Texas, a small city outside of San Antonio. Our campsite was in a city owned park, Kerrville Schreiner Park. We drove into the city and enjoyed the River Walk and other site such as the Alamo.

Enjoying downtown Austin

We had a great couple of nights in Austin. Live music, cold beer and lots to see.

Austin Texas

We arrived in Austin, camping in McKinney Falls State Park, interestingly a state park within the city limits of Austin. We were only a 15 minute drive from downtown. It was a very nice campsite, wooded, access to hiking including trails to the falls.

All good things must pass

Well, that's a title of a song by George Harrison, but it describes having to leave Oklahoma after almost a week. Good news, we plan to visit again in early February!

So move on into Texas, first stop just above Dallas, at a nice campground for one night. It was just another stop on the way, our next goal was Austin.

Nolan

What fun it was to watch Nolan walk and get into some mischief. He is so much fun!  We went to the park one day and watched as the family dressed their Christmas tree together the next. Life's good.

Thanksgiving with Nolan

And Michael and Nan as well! We finally arrived in the Owasso area the day before Thanksgiving. We were parking the Breeze at a campground we had been before on our last trip, the Will Rogers Downs Racetrack and Casino.
OK, unexciting picture of an unexciting campground, except it is near M,N and Nolan!  This picture actually shows some guys installing a new air conditioner/heat pump on the Breeze. One of the necessary issues of traveling in a moving house, maintenance!

The real reason to be here is seeing family. So the next pictures are just that, pictures of our favorite topics!

Pecan Creek Winery, Muskogee, Oklahoma

After a couple of nice days at Dardanelle SP, we moved on to Oklahoma. We decided to stop and stay at a winery in Muskogee called Pecan Creek. Never would have guessed that they made wine in Okie, but they do, and its quite good!

Upon pulling in to the drive, Scott, one of the winemakers, met us and helped us park and hook up to power, a nice plus for a free nights stay. Although they were closed for the day, Scott took us into the tasting room and spent the next hour letting us sample a wide variety of their wines. He was entertaining, a real redneck type, rough around the edges guy, but very knowledgeable about the product. We bought a case of wine and then settled back to the Breeze for the night.
