Pecan Creek Winery, Muskogee, Oklahoma

After a couple of nice days at Dardanelle SP, we moved on to Oklahoma. We decided to stop and stay at a winery in Muskogee called Pecan Creek. Never would have guessed that they made wine in Okie, but they do, and its quite good!

Upon pulling in to the drive, Scott, one of the winemakers, met us and helped us park and hook up to power, a nice plus for a free nights stay. Although they were closed for the day, Scott took us into the tasting room and spent the next hour letting us sample a wide variety of their wines. He was entertaining, a real redneck type, rough around the edges guy, but very knowledgeable about the product. We bought a case of wine and then settled back to the Breeze for the night.
